Cody L. Daily

Cody “Diesel” Daily joined The League in 2010 and marked his 10th League season with a fourth consecutive trip to the postseason. Cody’s League career got off to a rocky start, as he failed to reach the postseason and compiled an ugly 11-27 record over his first 3 seasons, culminating in a last place finish in 2012. But after reaching rock bottom, Diesel’s fortunes changed; he has reached the playoffs in 6 of the last 7 seasons. Between 2013 and 2016, Daily reached The League Semifinals on 3 separate occasions, but unfortunately failed each time to secure a victory and advance to The League Championship Game. That all changed in 2018, when Daily put together what would be by far his best season to date. Diesel’s 2018 squad posted a career-high 153.42 OPR on the road to a career-high 10 victories and a stunning division title. After his team finally broke through in the Semifinals to reach his first Championship Game, many left him for dead in his matchup with a historically strong Jacky G squad. Refusing to give in the pregame hype, Diesel defiantly guaranteed a victory, and shocked the world by backing up his bold claims and earning his first Championship in one of the best and most dramatic title games in recent memory. When the dust settled after his triumphant postseason run, Cody’s 2018 team finished with 125.45 ppg, which ranks 3rd all-time and 8th all-time in adjust points per game. In 2019, Daily produced a furious finish to the regular season, winning 4 of his last 5 games to earn a playoff spot in the final game of the season, though his title defense would ultimately end the following week in a narrow Wild Card Round defeat to long-time rival Nicky Diamonds.
